How it Works

Once the registration form has been completed, the agency will contact you to confirm your family information, answer any questions you may have, and take your request for a specific date(s) for which you may need a sitter.

You will be matched with the best babysitter for your family based upon your family’s information, experience with your child(ren)’s ages, location, and availability. The agency does keep track of which sitters you have met so that you may request your favorites again!

Our babysitters have experience with all ages, from newborns to teens. Skip the resume searching, interviewing, and negotiation of finding your own sitter (especially with short notice)! Pinch Sitters has a detailed application process to ensure that only experienced and trustworthy babysitters work with us. Unlike some of the online-only agencies, all Pinch Sitters have at least 3 years experience and at least 2 recent childcare references. All Pinch Sitters have their identity, employment and education verified and personally interviewed. Each sitter submits to a full reference, criminal/sexual predator, and social check.Further, each sitter undergoes an extensive orientation.

There are no annual, booking, or membership fees to register with the agency or to request a sitter.

The office is open from 8am-5pm on weekdays. However, the agency will do its best to  respond to emails and calls from registered families after our regularly scheduled hours to assist with last minute requests and emergencies.

We currently service Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
